I’m sitting at a cafe with my laptop, ☕️💻 and I can’t help but overhear the conversation happening next to me. Three gentlemen are deep into a work meeting, outlining their online sales system. They’re discussing the traditional approach: long funnel sequences, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) sales techniques, tricky upsells, and all sorts of convincing tactics.
Honestly, all I can think is: poor guys.
They’re setting themselves up for more struggle than they even realize. You see, more steps mean 1,000 times more immediate work. That’s just the beginning. It also creates a ripple effect of ongoing, reactionary workload for eternity—work they’ll come to see as “necessary for success.”
But here’s the thing: more is not the answer.
The Myth of More
It’s human nature to believe that in order to succeed, we need more—more steps, more systems, more complexity, more tricks. That’s what I overhear in the cafe conversation. It’s a mentality I see all too often.
The truth? Less is more.
When I look at an entrepreneur’s business model or sales system, I can instinctively eliminate 80-90% of what they’re doing. Why? Because most of it is not only unnecessary, it’s hurting their results. Worse—it’s keeping them from what they really want: freedom, profit, and impact.
A Simple System Brings Real Success
You don’t need a thousand steps to close sales. What you need is a clear, simple, minimalist system that works—without all the extra noise. The more you complicate the process, the further you move away from true success and the freedom to actually live your life.
