It holds the honor of hosting the first Olympic Games ever held in the southern hemisphere. Of the many displays of public art located throughout the city my personal favorite was the fountain shown below which served as a canvas for a street artist who created a portrait from fallen leaves. From the comments here on facebook & over on the blog it seems like a few of you figured out that Melbourne, Australia was location of the week. This photo is of the John Mockridge Fountain on Collins St at City Square right in the heart of Melbourne. A beautiful city filled with art that is easy to explore by foot or by tram.
