So, here we go- I’m letting go of Real Blogging Tips and starting Brilliant Etc.

Nanotechnology, also known as nanotech, refers to a field of science involving the control of matter on an molecular and atomic scale.  While nanotechnology is considered a diverse and multidisciplinary field of science, much of the newer approaches to physics including molecular self assembly, developing new materials nanoscale dimensions.  Nanotechnology brings discussion on whether or not scientists can directly control matter on the atomic scale.

The future of nanotechnology brings much controversy, but also raises interest in its future innovations in medicine, electronics, and even energy production.  Nanotechnology also raises issues, including concerns about the toxicity and environmental impact of nanomaterials and their possible effects on global economics, as well as speculation about various “end of the world” theories.  These concerns have lead to much discussion and debate amongst advocacy groups and politicians on whether special regulation of nanotechnology is warranted or even essential.
